It’s hard to believe that so much thought has been put into what can happen if certain things are done to a bed. But sure enough, here they are.

• Putting a hat on the bed will bring the placer bad luck.

• If someone decides to start making a bedspread or a quilt, it must be finished or the maker will never be married.

• Placing a bed in a room with the bed facing north and south brings bad luck.

• Getting out of a bed on the opposite side that you got into it will bring bad luck.
