COWBOY TALES
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
When you think of a cowboy, you
most likely conjure up an image in your head of someone who is fearless, while
they wrassle bulls and chew tobacco. But even the toughest cowboys can’t escape
the old wives tales that surround them and many of them are still firmly
believed and adhered to today.
Here are some of the tales that
cowboys believe:
-
If you’re going to ride a bull
with a saddle on, always place your foot in the right stirrup first. This
will give the bull a lesser chance of throwing you from his back.
-
Although many paper cups are
thrown to the ground during a rodeo, these should never be kicked or it will
cause bad luck.
-
Cowgirls will wear mismatching
socks on their feet to bring them good luck.
-
All change must be emptied
from the pockets before a rodeo. If there is change in the pockets, it’s
thought that this is all that the cowboy will win.
-
Placing your hat on the bed is
a sign of bad luck. The person to do so will surely soon be injured or
killed.
-
To bring good luck throughout
a competition, a hot dog should be eaten before the event.
-
Checking out your horoscope on
the day of an event will bring bad luck.
-
Peanuts and popcorn should
never be eaten while inside the venue of competition.
-
A cowboy should always be
clean-shaven on the day of competition.
-
Wearing yellow in the venue of
a competition is sure to bring bad luck.
