THAT WILL CAUSE ARTHRITIS!
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST
STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST
For years parents have told their
children not to crack their knuckles or they’ll get arthritis. While cracking
your knuckles is not good for the joints, the cracking will not cause arthritis.
Where this old wives tale started we may never know, but it’s not at all true.
Does this mean you should continue cracking when you are nervous or anxious or
even when you’re bored? No! Cracking your knuckles can cause painful swelling in
the joints that can lead to more serious conditions, though not arthritis. If
you happen to have arthritis, the cracking will just exacerbate the situation
and you’ll suffer more.
Cracking knuckles doesn’t cause arthritis, but it’s not a good habit to start or
continue. You need your hands to live life the way you always have, so take care
of them and don’t damage your joints! Maybe the old wives were onto something
when they said to stop cracking those knuckles, eh?
