We're sure you've been told not to
swallow your gum as it takes seven years to pass through your digestive
system, but if you're a gum swallower then we have some good news for you.
Even though the gum component is
not indigestible, it will not stick your insides, but will pass.
This old wive's tale made the rounds in an effort to
prevent kids from eating their gum too quickly resulting in purchasing more gum
to keep the kid quiet, it was also considered lower class to swallow gum.
