If you wish to keep spirits out of
your home there are many different traditions, old wives tales, and legends from
around the world that may just help you keep these unwanted ghosts from entering
your home.
In Malaysia, there are two tales of binding
spirits. The first one is to combine sacred water with incense to keep away the
grasshopper demon. The second one concerns a person that is possessed by a
spirit. Pinch the possessed person and blow on their head. This will cause the
spirit to leave and the human spirit of the person to return to its rightful
body.
If you know the spirit that is haunting your home,
you can tie 7, 14, or 21 knots in a rope while you are saying the name of the
spirit. Now, just to keep them away bury the rope outside your home. However, if
you wish to release the spirit to another existence, burn the rope.
