YAMASHITA'S GOLD
THE LONGEST LIST OF THE LONGEST STUFF AT THE LONGEST DOMAIN NAME AT LONG LAST

Where is Yamashita's gold?

The Japanese Army during many of their invasions and the occupations of China, Manchuria, Indochina, Thailand, Burma, Malaya, Borneo, Singapore and the Dutch East Indies. looted from churches, monasteries, banks, temples, citizens, and even fallen governments. From 1936, clear up until 1943 their massed thousands of tons in gold. What happened to this massive amount of wealth is a mystery that has not been uncovered, only speculation.

From documentation as far as anyone can tell in 1944, there were 52 ships under the command of Vice Admiral Takehita carrying all this gold from Singapore to Japan. However, General MacArthur of the US invaded the Philippines. Two of the ships were sunk off the shore of Bacuit Bay. It is believed that the ships anchored behind Malapacao and Langen islands and more anchored in the Tapituan passage. The treasure is thought to have been given to General Masihara Homa who had the treasure buried in Bacuit Bay and other areas throughout Palawan. The two ships that were sunk by the Americans were leaving the bay presumably after they had unloaded all the treasure.

Today, there are many resorts along this bay and many believe that the treasure is still there but since the terrain has changed, it could be underwater caves.
