NHL Game Sevens That Went Into Overtime

If you're a hockey fan it doesn't get much better than the playoffs, OK, maybe it does, game 7.  And what's better than game 7? Overtime in game 7.

Since the 1938 - 39 season, when the NHL adopted the best of 7 format, 30 game sevens have gone into overtime.

We also went into overtime trying to find a list and had to go into double overtime to compose our own, so here is the official list of all 30 NHL game sevens that went into overtime.

Only twice has game 7 of the finals gone into overtime, 1950 with Pete Babando scoring for the Detroit Red Wings and 1954 with Tony Leswick scoring for the Detroit Red Wings.
