Count Dracula, the name strikes fear into
those weak at heart.
Imagine living in
Transylvania in the mid 1400's when Count Dracula was alive?
Vlad Tepes, better
known as Vlad the Impaler was Count Dracula. Vlad was a warlord and a psychotic
one at that. A favorite pastime was impaling enemies on a stake, then dining
nearby so he could watch them die.
The Dracula we all
know and love was a creation of Bram Stoker. While researching another project
Bram Stoker stumbled upon writings about Vlad Tepes and in 1897 'Bram Stoker's
Dracula' was published.
There have been
numerous books and movies made about the Count and he and other vampires are are
still being used to bring terror into our lives.
