Who won the Million Dollar Game?

The first and only 'Million Dollar Game', also known as 'The Big Game at the End of the Season' or the  XFL Championship Game was played on April 21, 2001.

The XFL was a joint venture between NBC and the World Wrestling Federation and was supposed to compete with the NFL but the media never accepted the XFL as a sport, but rather as a circus like the WWF, and as a result the XFL shut it's doors after just one season.

The XFL consisted of the following 8 teams:

  • Birmingham Thunderbolts
  • Chicago Enforcers
  • Las Vegas Outlaws
    Los Angeles Xtreme
  • Memphis Maniax
  • New York/New Jersey Hitmen
  • Orlando Rage
  • San Francisco Demons

In the Million Dollar Game the Los Angeles Xtreme defeated the San Francisco Demons 38-6 capturing the XFL Championship, the first, last and only team to do so.
